About AFK
Albins Företagskonferens AFK is a recruitment fair organized by Datateknologerna vid Åbo Akademi rf, aimed at students from Åbo Akademi University and the University of Turku. The event was organized for the first time in the spring of 2024 and we got very positive feedback from both companies and students.
This year we are expanding the fair to include even more participants and events, with the aim of improving the experience for students and company representatives alike.
What can you expect as a company attending AFK?
As a company you can expect to chat and connect with students that are studying information technology at either Åbo Akademi University or the University of Turku.
What can you expect as a student attending AFK?
As a student you can expect to chat and connect with companies from all over the country who are looking for new employees. You can also attend presentations and workshops held by the companies.
What can you expect as a company attending AFK?
As a company you can expect to chat and connect with students that are studying information technology at either Åbo Akademi University or the University of Turku.

As a student you can expect to chat and connect with companies from all over the country who are looking for new employees. You can also attend presentations and workshops held by the companies.
AFK 2025 Information
AFK 2025 will be held on Friday 5th of December 2025. The day begins with the recruitment fair itself, where all companies will be able to present themselves and their work to students. The event will be followed up by a cocktail party, where students and company representatives can discuss amongst each other in a more personal setting. Additionally there will also be an optional evening sitz (please note that this will be an informal event).
The fair will be held at our student campus, specifically at Aurum — a shared building between Turun Yliopisto and Åbo Akademi — to bring visibility to IT students of both universities.
Pricing for the year 2025 will be as follows:
- Stand at the fair 700 €
- A stand for your company at the fair equipped with a table, chair, and power outlets.
- Company presentation 500 €
- A 45-minute time slot in one of our lecture halls. 30 minutes for a presentation and 15 minutes for questions. Graphics and audio output are available.
- README.afk page and visibility on our website 200 €
- A page (A5 size) in our information leaflet that will be available for free at the fair in both digital and physical format, as well as visibility on the AFK website as a participant of AFK 2025.
- Hackathon/coding workshop sponsor 400 - 700 €
- Be the company to sponsor our hackathon! Design a hackathon or coding workshop for participants of the fair and shed some more light on what tech you use.
- The hackathon has a separate stand/area at the fair and is completely customizable to your liking.
- The price is negotiable so if it interests you, don't hesitate to reach out. (Only available for one company, first come first served)
Do not wait too long as we will be using a first come, first served policy, especially regarding the Hackathon.

The Organizers
Datateknologerna
Datateknologerna vid Åbo Akademi rf (DaTe) is the organization for students in the Computer Engineering program at the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Åbo Akademi, as well as for students in other technically oriented programs in computing. The organization was founded in 1999, specifically on August 24th at 16:32, and its members are recognized by their black overalls and stylish white caps. The organization is led by the Datateknologerna board which is in charge of the organization's day to day operations.

The Project Group
"Projektgruppen" (translated as "The Project Group" in English) is the elected committee responsible for organizing AFK. The group is elected by the members of Datateknologerna vid Åbo Akademi rf and is responsible for all stages of planning as well as promotion of the event. The committee is always led by the Vice Chairperson of the Datateknologerna board; this year, that role is held by Ida Wiberg. The other members of the Project Group are Johnny Löfman, Adam Beijar, Anton Näsman, Rasmus Vilen, Valter Lax, and Hugo Söderholm.
